Excavators 18:
Standard shank spoon excavator with 1.6 mm diameter has a terminal shank length of 6 mm set at a 50° angle to the center line of the handle. Excavators have unique, large diameter light weight handle for maximum comfort, reduced hand fatigue and increased control.
Excavators are used for the removal of carious dentin. Orange Instruments offers a complete selection of “spoon” and “blade” excavators in a wide range of shank lengths and blade widths for any application. All excavators are made of high-carbon stainless steel that is formed and precision ground by expert craftsmen, then hardened for the ultimate in sharp edge retention and durability.
