Description
Orange’s Semb Raspatory is a Cardiothoracic surgical instrument that has a multitude of uses in the operating room. It features a slightly barrel shaped handle which narrows into the shaft and then flares out again to form the blade. A uniqute feature of the Semb raspatory is that it is available in a wide range of different blades shapes including an angular blade with a notch or straight edge, a slightly curved round blade or an angular curved round blade. This instrument can be used when trying to access the first rib, but the wide array of blade shapes and sizes makes it a highly versatile instrument.
